Gloria S. 53, died November 14, 2003 in Oklahoma City. She was born March 28, 1950 in Oklahoma City, OK. Gloria was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mr. And Mrs. Selden Fant. Gloria is survived by her husband, Cletus Smith, and was married December 7, 1990; her stepchildren Leslie, Tim and Matt Smith and their wives, Sherri and Melissa; grandchildren Paxton, Tucker, Hunter and Zane. Gloria's love affair with music began early. She started vocal training at Northwest Classen High where she sang with the 'Cryslurs' and became a National Merit Scholar. She then attended Oklahoma City University School of Music. She graduated with honors and went on to sing and perform in many shows and productions in OKC as well as the Pollard Theatre in Guthrie. Gloria was a member of 'Junior Hospitality' and performed in many 'Cabaret Productions'. For seventeen years, with her dear friend Elaine Walters, she taught the 'Tiny Tot' preschool music program in OKC and Edmond. More recently, Gloria worked with her cherished friend, Kay Hubbard at the House Gallery in OKC. In addition, Gloria worked with her artist husband in their own business - The Cletus Smith Studio. As the daughter of a baseball player - Gloria had a strong interest in sports. She could be heard any time of the year yelling for any O.U. team. The Chicago Cubs could also hear her screaming all the way to Wrigley. Gloria leaves behind many fellow bowlers at the Boulevard Lanes in Edmond. Gloria was a great lover of animals. Together we loved, laughed, framed paintings, planted tomatoes, mixed concrete, patched the roof and wrestled grandkids. She made my life GLOW!
